Muscle Program
Identifying Novel Factors that Improve Skeletal Muscle Health
The loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength and function is manifested in
a number of conditions, including grievous disease (cachexia-associated
syndromes), aging (frailty, sarcopenia and dynopenia) and disuse
(prolonged bed rest or immobilization). NGM’s muscle program seeks to
identify new human factors with the potential to improve muscle function
after illness or injury.
